US Postal Service Sucks

So not only can they not do their jobs very well…

i.e. why can’t I get MY mail delivered to MY house and not get mail meant for other parts of town? Why can’t I get my mail forwarded correctly when I move? Why did they lose $10k worth of checks…only to have them appear in my mailbox 4 months later covered with dust and lint…clearly having fallen through the cracks of the mail van?

…and now the one thing did do right, they have screwed up as well.

“He said in early November the post offices expressed their support once again for the program, but last week he was notified that a “legal opinion from the law department” would not allow the program to continue in U.S. Post Offices.”

Are you kidding me? I’m the most anti advertising and solicitation person you could meet. I’ve never put toys in the toys for tots bins…but did I ever feel “solicited”?  You think a box in the post office is going to make me feel “solicited” more than the 8000 other forms of advertising I’m bombarded with from all directions every day? C’mon.

Even I can see that this is just totally asinine. Why would you let some jack ass government lawyer deprive a bunch of needy kids of a 40 foot truck load of toys on Christmas? This is bureaucracy at its FINEST.
