A Birthday Haiku
So my Dad’s b-day poem was a big hit …figured I would share the Birthday Haiku I got from Mr. Chris Sanetti…
Miserable bastards,
Not quite old and fat and bald;
Our wives correct us.
I think that pretty much covers it.
Birthday Poem From My Father
Anyone who knows me knows I hate to celebrate my birthday. Safe to say my father knows this all too well. Here’s what I just got from him via email….
27 July, a date that sounds familiar,
Or is it the 28th, it could be similar.
Ah yes it all comes to me now,
A birthday grouch, touchy and how;
No joy sez he or celebrate in any way,
We are not allowed to rejoice on his day.
But risk your rath, I find that I must
Calm and serene you will be I trust;
My greeting is honest and comes from my soul,
Happy Birthday you great big lovable A-hole!
I hope you find a small chuckle in my joke,
I hope you are one contented bloke;
So hug your bride and pet your doggies,
We still love you…..and I’ve run out of words to rhyme this out,
So fill in the rest and try not to pout!
I begrudgingly admit, this made me LOL. :)
Behold…the messiah
Holy carp! (Not a typo)
